Took a group of high school students here last night. It was a short, easy walk from the UCA building at CSU. Food for 15 of us didn't take long. The kids all seemed to enjoy their meals, as did I. The price was right and we had no issue making it back to the concert I our allotted time.

It has been a long time since I have cleaned my plate of every scrap of food. I did that today!! I went with my friend for lunch, we just happened to be driving by and saw Mcalister's. I ordered the Reuben with potato salad. They had so many sides to choose from but I'm happy I picked the potato salad. It was creamy and delicious. The Reuben was one of the best I have had in years. They use quality Rye bread and the sandwich was sizable without being cumbersome. The sauerkraut was tangy and the dressing fantastic! My friend ordered the giant spud with cheese and a cup of vegetarian chili. The spud was GIANT, it lived up to its name. She said it was perfectly cooked and so tasty. I sampled her veggie chili and it was spicy and good just like you want in a red chili. I highly recommend McAlister's Deli!!!

yumm I love McAlisters. They have a great pick 2 option for a reasonable price. They have the best spuds! Their employees are very friendly.

Had lunch with a friend here this afternoon ... oddly, there was paper (like the paper that separates packaged cheese) in my cranberry-orange club sandwich. Despite the extra fiber, I did enjoy the sandwich and the bacon baked potato (I got the 2 and 2, a half-sandwich and your choice of soup, salad, or baked potato). McAllister's is a nice, basic deli ... lots of interesting sandwiches on the menu, along with soups, salads, baked potatoes, etc. Similar to Jason's Deli, but I find the menu less overwhelming. I'm not sure, but I don't think their lemonade is fresh squeezed (at least there aren't little bits of pulp in there), but it is tart and refreshing.

I normally will spend around $10 on average for lunch around town and often end up still hungry, and I don't eat that much. Here for under $10, I am happily stuffed on the Club, Side, Pickle Spear and Giant Drink. I've been here twice now in under a week. Love it!

As a parent of two kids, we are always on the lookout for family-friendly places to eat, specifically for kids-eat-free specials. Our preschooler is just about the pickiest eater we've known, poking at his food or refusing to eat it to only complain about being hungry an hour or so later. We hate to spend money on meals for him that he won't even touch. Shortly after McAlister's Deli opened their second location on the east side of town on Harmony (their other location is on College), we discovered that kids eat free every night after 5pm. This was perfect for those nights when we needed to go grocery shopping or didn't feel like cooking (which seems to be often this summer). I've been able to sample quite a bit from their menu. Their sandwiches are pretty good, nothing special, but not bad either. I think ordering a sandwich is the safest bet here. You can even build your own ($5.90). Their paninis are disappointing despite how good they sound. The horseradish roast beef and cheddar ($5.99)? I can make something a whole lot more spectacular in my kitchen.

I enjoy the club sandwich here and have also sampled one of their huge potatoes. Both dishes I would recommend. The drinks are massive and this is one of the only places I know of that concocts a proper Arnold Palmer. This is a great place for lunch or a quick dinner.

Just tried this place for the first time and I am impressed. They have a large menu with a wide variety of options. I had the New Yorker or something and it was great. My friend ate the Greek Salad and she loved it. The atmosphere is very nice and open, with a very nice and helpful staff. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great lunch or dinner.

In my opinion the best thing about this place is the Sweet Tea. I found the food boring but keep in mind I expect a lot out of my food. My husband claims that I expect every meal to be an experience and this meal just wasn't an experience I want to have again. It wasn't horrible but it had a very fast food taste to it plus the cookies and brownies suck. Huh, remember how popular the word suck used to be? Not so much anymore, too bad. People have said some good things about this joint though so check it out for yourself.
